Job OverviewWe are seeking a seasoned and strategic Interior Design Manager to lead our design department and oversee project lifecycles from concept to completion. You will be responsible for managing a team of designers, ensuring design excellence, and maintaining high client satisfaction. This role requires a blend of creative vision, technical mastery, and strong leadership skills to drive business growth and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and review the work of junior and senior interior designers to ensure all projects meet the firm’s quality and aesthetic standards.
- Project Management: Oversee multiple high-end projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
- Strategic Design: Review and refine 2D layouts, 3D renders, and technical drawings to ensure they are both innovative and execution-friendly.
- Client Management: Act as the primary point of contact for premium clients, handling high-level presentations and resolving complex design or site challenges.
- Vendor & Contractor Oversight: Negotiate with high-end vendors and manage relationships with contractors to ensure seamless site execution and material procurement.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular site visits to ensure that the work on-ground matches the approved designs and adheres to safety and quality protocols.
- Process Optimization: Implement and improve internal design workflows, documentation standards, and BOQ accuracy.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 6–10 years of experience in the interior design industry, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial or lead role.
- Expertise: Advanced knowledge of luxury residential projects, modular furniture systems, and premium material finishes.
- Technical Proficiency: Mastery of AutoCAD, SketchUp/3ds Max, V-Ray, and project management tools.
- Leadership: Proven ability to manage a team, delegate tasks effectively, and meet monthly project targets.
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of cost estimation, profit margins, and luxury branding.
- Education: Degree or Diploma in Interior Design or Architecture from a reputed institute.
