Role Description The Interior Designer Intern will support the design team in developing concepts, layouts, and detailed drawings for ongoing residential and commercial projects. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with space planning, preparing mood boards and material palettes, supporting FF&E selection, and helping create construction and working drawings under guidance from senior designers. The intern will also help coordinate with vendors, track samples, and contribute to presentations and design documentation. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurgaon, and requires close collaboration with designers, project managers, and workshop teams.
Qualifications
- Ability to contribute to spatial layouts and planning, demonstrating skills in Space Planning and Interior Design.
- Understanding of architectural principles and basic structural considerations, with exposure to Architecture.
- Capability to prepare or revise Construction Drawings and design documentation with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Interest and foundational skills in FF&E, including furniture, fixtures, and equipment selection, finishes, and material coordination.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and basic familiarity with presentation tools (e.g., PowerPoint, InDesign).
- Strong visual sense, attention to detail, and ability to interpret and develop design concepts into practical solutions.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to take feedback, work in a team, and manage time in a studio environment.
