Role Description As an Interior Designer at The Wayout Design Studio, you will work full time on-site in Indore, contributing to projects from concept through completion. Daily responsibilities include developing design concepts, preparing mood boards, and producing detailed drawings and presentations for client review. You will collaborate with senior designers, architects, vendors, and contractors to refine space planning, select materials and finishes, and coordinate FF&E. The role involves preparing and reviewing construction drawings, conducting site visits to monitor progress, and ensuring design intent is maintained during execution. You will also participate in client meetings, gather requirements, incorporate feedback, and help maintain project timelines and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Strong Interior Design skills, including concept development, materials selection, and visual presentations.
- Proficiency in Space Planning to create functional, efficient, and aesthetically balanced layouts.
- Understanding of Architecture fundamentals to coordinate interior solutions with overall building design.
- Ability to produce and interpret Construction Drawings and documentation for on-site execution.
- Experience with FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) selection, specification, and coordination.
- Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and MS Office.
- Strong communication, client-facing, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a team-oriented studio environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and conduct regular site visits in Indore and nearby locations as required.
