Role Description The Interior Designer will work full time on-site in Erode, focusing on planning and executing functional, aesthetically pleasing interior spaces for commercial and industrial environments. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing interior design concepts, preparing layout plans, and coordinating with stakeholders to align designs with project requirements and budget. The role involves creating and reviewing construction drawings, selecting appropriate materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E), and ensuring that designs meet safety, durability, and compliance standards relevant to industrial and warehouse spaces. The Interior Designer will collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and suppliers to manage project timelines, oversee on-site implementation, and maintain quality across all design elements.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Interior Design skills, including concept development and detailing for commercial and industrial spaces.
- Candidates should possess Space Planning skills to optimize layouts for functionality, safety, and workflow efficiency.
- Candidates should possess Architecture-related knowledge to understand structural constraints, codes, and integration with building systems.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Construction Drawings, including preparing and interpreting plans, sections, and elevations.
- Candidates should possess FF&E selection skills, with the ability to specify appropriate furniture, fixtures, and equipment for durable, high-traffic environments.
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools).
- Strong communication, coordination, and project management abilities, with attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
- Experience in industrial, commercial, or warehouse interior projects is an advantage.
