Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Interior Designer role based in Bengaluru. The Interior Designer will translate client requirements and architectural plans into functional, aesthetically compelling interior concepts and layouts. Daily responsibilities include developing design schemes, preparing mood boards and material palettes, and coordinating space plans that align with structural and MEP constraints. The role involves producing detailed drawings and specifications, selecting FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), and collaborating with architects, engineers, and site teams to ensure design feasibility and quality execution. The Interior Designer will also conduct site visits, review workmanship, address on-site design queries, and support client presentations and approvals.
Qualifications
- Strong Interior Design and Space Planning skills, with the ability to create functional, aesthetically balanced layouts.
- Understanding of Architecture and building systems to coordinate interior designs with overall project requirements.
- Proficiency in developing Construction Drawings and interior detail drawings suitable for execution on site.
- Experience with FF&E selection, including materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and fixtures suited to budget and design intent.
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar) and familiarity with MS Office tools.
- Strong visualization, presentation, and documentation skills, including the ability to prepare mood boards and design presentations.
- Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams, manage multiple tasks, and handle site visits and inspections as required.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; prior experience in residential or commercial interiors is an advantage.
