Role Description The Interior Designer will work on-site in Dehradun in a full-time capacity, developing interior concepts and layouts for residential and commercial projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting clients to understand requirements, preparing design proposals, mood boards, and material palettes, and creating detailed drawings and 3D visualizations. The role involves coordinating with vendors and contractors, overseeing site execution to ensure designs are implemented as planned, and managing timelines and budgets. The Interior Designer will also source materials and finishes, stay updated on design trends, and maintain clear documentation and communication throughout each project.
Qualifications
- Ability to develop interior concepts, space plans, and detailed design drawings using industry-standard tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar).
- Skills in creating mood boards, material palettes, and 3D visualizations to effectively communicate design ideas to clients and project teams.
- Experience in project coordination, including vendor and contractor management, site supervision, and basic understanding of construction processes.
- Strong client-facing skills, including requirement gathering, presentation of design options, and clear, professional communication.
- Attention to detail in selecting finishes, furnishings, lighting, and accessories that align with design concepts, budgets, and timelines.
- Ability to work on-site in Dehradun full-time, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in residential or commercial interior projects is preferred; a portfolio demonstrating design capability is highly beneficial.
