Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Interior Designer role based in Palghat. The Interior Designer will translate client requirements into creative and functional design concepts, including layouts, mood boards, and material palettes. Daily tasks include space planning, preparing detailed drawings, coordinating with architects, contractors, and vendors, and selecting finishes, furniture, and fixtures in line with project budgets and timelines. The role also involves conducting site visits, monitoring work progress, resolving design or execution issues, and ensuring quality and consistency with approved designs. The Interior Designer will participate in client meetings, present design proposals, incorporate feedback, and support project documentation and handover.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Interior Design and Architecture, with the ability to translate concepts into practical, buildable solutions.
- Proficiency in Space Planning to optimize functionality, aesthetics, and circulation in residential and commercial spaces.
- Experience preparing Construction Drawings, working drawings, and technical details for execution teams.
- Knowledge of FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) selection, specification, and coordination with vendors.
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Coohom, Revit, or similar) and basic MS Office skills.
- Strong visualization, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain design intent to clients and project teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on-site.
- Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; prior experience in interior projects is strongly preferred.
