Role Description This is a full-time Interior Designer role based in Mumbai with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing some work-from-home flexibility. The Interior Designer will develop concepts, layouts, and mood boards, and translate them into detailed drawings and presentations for clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include space planning, selecting materials and finishes, preparing FF&E schedules, coordinating with vendors and contractors, and supporting site supervision to ensure design intent is executed. The role involves collaborating with the principal designer and project team, attending client meetings, incorporating feedback, and managing documentation throughout the project lifecycle. The Interior Designer is expected to balance creative design with practical considerations such as timeframe, budget, and buildability.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Interior Design and Space Planning, with the ability to create functional, aesthetically aligned layouts.
- Knowledge of Architecture and Construction Drawings to develop and interpret detailed plans and technical documentation.
- Experience with FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) selection, specification, and coordination.
- Proficiency in relevant design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar).
- A degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Attention to detail, strong visualization skills, and the ability to present ideas clearly to clients and stakeholders.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Familiarity with local building codes, materials, and vendors in Mumbai is an advantage.
