We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer with 2 64 years of relevant design experience. Candidates should have strong knowledge of design development, drawings, materials, space planning, and client coordination.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop creative design concepts and translate client briefs into cohesive interior proposals that meet aesthetic, functional, and budgetary requirements.
- Prepare schematic layouts, space plans, furniture plans, and detailed design drawings to communicate design intent clearly.
- Create technical and execution drawings, details, schedules, and specifications required for construction and procurement.
- Produce 2D drawings and 3D visualizations/renderings (SketchUp or similar) to support client presentations and approvals.
- Specify materials, finishes, fixtures, furniture, and FF&E; prepare sample boards and product schedules.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants (structural, MEP), contractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to verify that execution aligns with design intent and resolve on-site design queries.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, documentation, and handover processes; support procurement and installation as required.
- Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, accessibility standards, and safety requirements.
- Mentor and review the work of junior designers and collaborate on client presentations and meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
- 2- 4 years of relevant interior design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating residential and/or commercial projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) and Revit is an advantage.
- Solid understanding of layouts, detailing, construction documents, and execution drawings.
- Strong communication, presentation, and client coordination skills.
- Ability to manage projects independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Note: Site supervision experience alone will not be considered as major design experience. Preference will be given to candidates with strong designing and technical knowledge.
