Role Description The Interior Designer will work full time on-site at MM Interior Studio in Vadodara, collaborating closely with clients and the internal team to translate design concepts into detailed plans and finished spaces. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing design concepts, preparing mood boards, space plans, and layouts, and selecting materials, finishes, and FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment). The role involves creating and reviewing construction drawings, coordinating with contractors and vendors, and ensuring that designs are executed according to specifications, timelines, and quality standards. The Interior Designer will participate in site visits, measurements, and supervision, while maintaining consistent communication with clients to align designs with their requirements and budget. The position also includes staying updated on design trends, products, and best practices to continually improve project outcomes.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Interior Design and Architecture for residential and commercial spaces.
- Candidates should possess solid Space Planning skills to optimize layouts and functionality.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in preparing and interpreting Construction Drawings.
- Candidates should possess experience in FF&E selection, including materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and basic MS Office.
- Strong visual sense, attention to detail, and ability to balance aesthetics with practicality and budgets.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, contractors, and vendors.
- Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; prior studio or site experience is an advantage.
