Role Description The Interior Designer role at MIB Engineering & Consultants Pvt. Ltd. is a full-time, on-site position based in Howrah. The Interior Designer will be responsible for developing interior concepts, preparing space plans, and coordinating with architecture and MEP teams to ensure cohesive design solutions. Daily tasks include creating detailed construction and interior drawings, selecting FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), and preparing presentations or mood boards for client reviews. The role also involves site visits, coordination with contractors and vendors, and ensuring that designs are executed according to specifications, timelines, and quality standards. The Interior Designer will work closely with project managers and engineers to align design intent with technical requirements and budget constraints.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Interior Design and FF&E selection, including finishes, furniture, lighting, and accessories.
- Candidates should possess practical skills in Space Planning and Architecture coordination to optimize layouts and functional flow.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in preparing Construction Drawings and detailed documentation for execution and approvals.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with MEP coordination within interior projects to ensure design feasibility and compliance.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar) and MS Office tools.
- Candidates should possess strong visualization, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on-site.
- Candidates should possess a degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; prior experience in commercial or residential projects is an advantage.
