About the RoleMaywood Interiors is seeking an experienced, tech-savvy Interior Designer who combines creative excellence with modern efficiency. This role is perfect for someone who embraces AI tools to accelerate the design process while maintaining exceptional quality and uniqueness in every project.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Execution:
- Develop innovative interior design concepts for residential, commercial, and hospitality projects
- Create comprehensive design presentations including mood boards, material palettes, and 3D visualizations
- Produce quick turnaround designs without compromising on creativity or detail
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously from concept to completion
- Conduct site visits, measurements, and client consultations
AI & Technology Integration:
- Leverage AI tools for design iteration, visualization, and presentation (e.g., Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, AI rendering tools)
- Use 3D software proficiently (SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray, Enscape, or similar)
- Implement AI-assisted tools for space planning, material selection, and design optimization
- Stay updated on emerging AI technologies in the design industry
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor one junior designer/design assistant
- Delegate tasks effectively and manage workflow distribution
- Review and provide constructive feedback on team member's work
- Foster a collaborative and innovative design environment
Client & Vendor Management:
- Present design concepts confidently to clients
- Incorporate feedback and iterate designs rapidly
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers
- Manage project timelines and ensure prompt delivery
Required QualificationsEducation & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field
- Minimum 4-6 years of professional interior design experience
- Proven portfolio showcasing diverse, executed projects
Technical Skills:
- Must be proficient in AI design tools (Midjourney, ChatGPT, AI rendering platforms, or similar)
- Expert in 3D visualization software (SketchUp, 3ds Max, Lumion, Enscape, V-Ray)
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD or similar drafting software
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Knowledge of BIM software is a plus
