Role Description The Interior Designer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The Interior Designer will be responsible for developing interior concepts, preparing design presentations, and collaborating with architects and project teams to ensure cohesive solutions. Day-to-day tasks include space planning, selecting materials and finishes, coordinating FF&E, and preparing detailed construction drawings. The role also involves site visits, coordination with contractors and vendors, monitoring work progress against design intent, and supporting project documentation. The Interior Designer will contribute to maintaining design quality while meeting project budgets and timelines.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Interior Design and Architecture skills, with the ability to translate client requirements into functional and aesthetic solutions.
- Candidates should possess Space Planning skills to optimize layouts for residential, commercial, and specialized environments.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in preparing Construction Drawings and related technical documentation for execution on-site.
- Candidates should possess FF&E skills, including selection and specification of furniture, fixtures, equipment, finishes, and materials.
- Relevant qualifications such as a degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and basic MS Office skills.
- Strong visual communication, detailing, and documentation skills, with attention to accuracy and quality.
- Ability to work collaboratively on-site with cross-functional teams, vendors, and contractors, and manage multiple projects within defined timelines.
