Role Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Interior Designer with strong technical expertise and hands-on experience in interior fit-outs, millwork, and joinery. The ideal candidate will have excellent AutoCAD skills, a solid understanding of architectural millwork and commercial interiors, and the ability to translate design concepts into detailed, production-ready drawings.
Experience with Cabinet Vision, Microvellum, or 2020 Design will be a strong advantage.
- Key Responsibilities
- Develop and present creative and functional interior design concepts based on client requirements.
- Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings including plans, elevations, sections, and construction details.
- Create accurate millwork and joinery drawings for cabinetry, furniture, and architectural elements.
- Develop 3D visualizations and design presentations as required.
- Coordinate with clients and team members to ensure seamless project execution.
- Monitor project timelines and ensure design intent, quality, and technical standards are maintained.
- Adapt designs to technical constraints, and client revisions.
- Use design software such as Cabinet Vision, Microvellum, Mozaik or 2020 Design for cabinetry and millwork layouts.
- Prior experience in Estimation is a plus.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Interior Design or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in interior design.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory, with the ability to produce detailed and accurate working drawings.
- Proven experience in millwork, joinery, architectural millwork, and custom woodworking.
- Good understanding of commercial interior projects (offices, retail, hospitality, etc.).
- Hands-on knowledge of materials, finishes, hardware, and woodworking processes.
- Proficiency in SketchUp, Photoshop, or similar design tools.
- Experience in Cabinet Vision, Microvellum, or 2020 Design is a strong plus.
- Strong communication, coordination, and client-handling skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Immediate availability is preferred.
