Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site interior designer role based in Ludhiana. The interior designer will be responsible for conceptualizing and developing interior design schemes, including space planning, material selection, and FF&E specifications for residential, commercial, hospitality, and institutional projects. Daily responsibilities include preparing design presentations, preparing construction and detail drawings in coordination with the architectural team, and ensuring design intent is maintained during execution on site. The role involves collaborating closely with clients, consultants, and vendors, managing design documentation, and supporting project timelines and quality standards. The interior designer will also contribute to design research, trend analysis, and the refinement of the studio’s design language.
Qualifications
- Strong interior design and architecture skills, with the ability to develop cohesive design concepts and translate them into built spaces.
- Proficiency in space planning and functional layouts for residential, commercial, hospitality, and institutional environments.
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience preparing detailed construction drawings and technical documentation in coordination with project stakeholders.
- Capability in FF&E selection, including furniture, fixtures, finishes, and accessories aligned with design intent and budget.
- Relevant degree or diploma in interior design, architecture, or a closely related field.
- Working knowledge of industry-standard design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Photoshop, V-Ray, Lumion, or similar) and basic visualization tools.
- Strong aesthetic sense, material knowledge, and understanding of technical drawings, standards, and local design practices.
- Effective communication, collaboration, and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Prior experience in an architectural or interior design studio, especially in high-end residential or commercial projects, is an advantage.
- Candidate must be based in Ludhiana, Punjab, INDIA, or nearby places.
