Position: Interior Designer
Experience: 3–6 years

Reporting To: Senior Interior Designer / Design Head / Principal Designer
Role Overview
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Mid-Level Interior Designer who can
independently manage interior design projects from concept development through detailed
drawings and execution. The ideal candidate should have strong design sensibility, technical
knowledge, and the ability to coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, vendors, and site
teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design & Concept Development
• Develop interior design concepts based on project requirements, client brief, and
budget.
• Prepare mood boards, material palettes, colour schemes, and design presentations.
• Develop furniture layouts, space planning, and functional design solutions.
• Select appropriate finishes, materials, furniture, lighting, and accessories.
• Ensure design consistency throughout the project.
2. Technical Drawings & Documentation
• Prepare detailed 2D drawings and working drawings for execution.
• Develop plans, elevations, sections, furniture details, ceiling layouts, flooring layouts,
and wall elevations.
• Prepare electrical, lighting, plumbing, and other coordination drawings as required.
• Prepare detailed furniture and joinery drawings.
• Ensure drawings are accurate, coordinated, and issued on time.
• Review drawings before issuing them to the site team.
3. Site Coordination & Execution
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor design implementation.
• Coordinate with contractors, carpenters, vendors, consultants, and site supervisors.
• Resolve design and technical issues arising during execution.
• Check dimensions and site conditions before finalising drawings.
• Ensure execution follows approved drawings, specifications, and design intent.
• Identify discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions and provide
solutions.
4. Material & Vendor Coordination
• Research and recommend materials, finishes, hardware, sanitaryware, lighting,
furniture, and accessories.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for samples, quotations, specifications, and lead
times.
• Review material samples and shop drawings.
• Maintain an organised record of approved materials and finishes.
5. Project Management
• Manage assigned projects or project areas independently.
• Maintain drawing schedules and design deliverables.
• Coordinate multiple design requirements simultaneously.
• Track design changes and ensure updated drawings are circulated to relevant teams.
• Assist in maintaining project timelines and budgets.
Required Skills
• Strong knowledge of space planning and interior design principles.
• Good understanding of materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and construction
techniques.
• Strong technical drawing and detailing skills.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and MEP drawings.
• Good site execution and coordination knowledge.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Good attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Qualification
• Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of relevant professional experience in interior design.

• Successful coordination between design, site, vendors, and clients.
• Quality of execution as per approved design.
