Role Description The Interior Designer will be responsible for developing concept designs, space plans, and detailed layouts for residential projects, ensuring alignment with client goals and the studio’s design standards. Day-to-day tasks include meeting clients to understand requirements, preparing mood boards, selecting materials and finishes, coordinating FF&E, and producing drawings and documentation needed for execution. The role involves collaborating with architects, contractors, and vendors to oversee design implementation, conducting site visits, and resolving design or installation issues as they arise. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, requiring regular presence at the studio and project locations to manage design quality and timelines.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Interior Design and Space Planning skills, including the ability to develop functional and aesthetically compelling layouts.
- Candidates should possess Architecture and Construction Drawings skills to prepare or interpret technical plans and support project execution.
- Candidates should possess FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) skills, including selection, specification, and coordination with suppliers.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and basic knowledge of 3D visualization tools.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain design concepts clearly to clients and project partners.
- Attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced studio environment.
- Prior experience in residential interiors or studio-based design practice in Bengaluru or similar markets is an advantage.
