Role Description:
- Role: Full-time, on-site Interior Designer
- Experience: Fresher or 1+Yr
- Location: Chennai
- Core Collaboration: Work closely with architects, project teams, clients, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Project Types: Residential and mixed-use developments.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Planning
- Develop concept designs and mood boards.
- Create detailed interior layouts and execute precise space planning.
- Select appropriate materials and finishes.
- Coordinate FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) specifications.
Technical & Documentation
- Prepare comprehensive construction and joinery drawings.
- Support documentation required for project approvals.
- Participate actively in design presentations.
Execution & Project Management
- Collaborate directly with vendors and contractors.
- Support site coordination and perform quality checks.
- Ensure all designs align strictly with project budgets, timelines, and sustainability goals.
- Maintain clear, consistent communication across all stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Strong interior design and space planning skills, with the ability to translate concepts into functional, aesthetically coherent layouts.
- Foundational understanding of architecture and building systems to effectively coordinate interior solutions with overall project design.
- Proficiency in preparing construction drawings and detailed documentation for interiors, including joinery and millwork details.
- Hands-on experience with FF&E selection, material and finishes specification, and vendor coordination for procurement and installation.
- Advanced skills in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar) and visualization tools (e.g., Photoshop, InDesign, rendering engines).
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, with a portfolio demonstrating relevant project experience.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on-site with multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and readiness to engage in site visits, coordination meetings, and client presentations.
