Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Interior Designer / Architect role based in Mumbai. The professional in this role will develop interior concepts, plan spaces, and prepare detailed architectural and construction drawings for residential and commercial projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with clients, understanding project requirements, proposing design solutions, selecting materials and finishes, and coordinating FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment). The Interior Designer / Architect will collaborate with contractors, vendors, and other project stakeholders to ensure design intent is accurately executed and timelines are met. The role also involves site visits, design revisions based on feedback, and adherence to budget, quality, and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in space planning and interior design, with the ability to create functional and aesthetically cohesive layouts.
- Proficiency in architecture-related tasks, including developing design concepts and integrating architectural elements within interior projects.
- Experience preparing accurate construction drawings and documentation suitable for contractors and regulatory approvals.
- Capability in FF&E selection, specification, and coordination, ensuring alignment with design intent and project budget.
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Strong command of design and drafting software (such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools).
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with clients, consultants, and site teams.
- Detail-oriented mindset, good time management, and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must be currently residing in Mumbai and able to work on-site at project locations and the studio.
