The ideal candidate will have excellent creative thinking skills and be able to create designs based on conversations with a client. The candidate should be confident communicating regularly with the client in order to assess their needs and be able to adjust a given approach based on feedback. The candidate should maintain familiarity with the interior design landscape and trends in order to provide the best ideas for clients.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and requirements for residential interiors.
- Develop design concepts, layouts, and presentations tailored to client needs.
- Prepare detailed drawings and 3D visualizations using AutoCAD and SketchUp.
- Coordinate closely with the production team to ensure accurate fabrication of furniture and design elements.
- Work with the execution team to oversee on-site implementation and ensure design integrity.
- Prepare and manage BOQ (Bill of Quantities) for projects, ensuring cost accuracy and transparency.
- Select appropriate materials, finishes, and furnishings aligned with design concepts and client budgets.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
- Handle client communication professionally, ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design or related field.
- 1–5 years of professional experience in interior design (residential projects only).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp (mandatory).
- Strong communication and client-handling skills.
- Creative mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
