Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role in Chennai for an Interior Architect / Interior Designer at Adhera Homes.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating innovative, functional, and aesthetically exceptional interior spaces, while working closely with clients, project teams, vendors, and execution teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
The role involves managing the complete design lifecycle—from client requirement understanding, concept creation, space planning, material selection, detailed drawings, BOQ coordination, and execution support.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Planning
- Develop creative interior concepts for residential and commercial projects
- Prepare space planning layouts and furniture planning
- Create mood boards, concept presentations, and material palettes
- Develop 2D detailed drawings and technical working drawings
- Coordinate false ceiling, electrical, plumbing, flooring, joinery, and elevation drawings
Client Management
- Attend client meetings and understand project requirements
- Present design concepts and explain material specifications
- Manage design revisions and approval processes
- Ensure client expectations are aligned with budget and timeline
Technical Coordination
- Coordinate with Project Head, Project Coordinator, vendors, and site teams
- Conduct site measurements and site verification
- Support BOQ preparation and quantity coordination
- Assist procurement team with material specifications and approvals
Execution Support
- Monitor design implementation at site
- Ensure execution matches approved drawings and specifications
- Handle design clarifications during project execution
- Support snag closure and final handover quality checks
Project Control
- Maintain project design schedules
- Track approvals, revisions, and design documentation
- Ensure timely delivery of design milestones
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design / Interior Architecture / Architecture
- 3–8 years of relevant experience in interior design / turnkey interiors
- Strong knowledge of residential interior execution
- Experience in modular interiors, custom furniture, and material detailing
- Understanding of fit-out execution and site coordination
Technical Skills
Must have proficiency in:
- AutoCAD
- SketchUp
- V-Ray / Enscape
- 3Ds Max (preferred)
- Photoshop
- MS Excel
- BOQ understanding
- Working drawing preparation
