Role Description This full-time Interior Design Intern role is an on-site position based in Kurla. The intern will support the design team in space planning, developing interior concepts, and preparing drawings and presentations. Daily tasks include assisting with material and furniture selection, coordinating FF&E details, and maintaining project documentation. The role also involves site visits, taking measurements, preparing mood boards, and collaborating with vendors and contractors under the guidance of senior designers. The intern will participate in client meetings when required, contribute ideas to design discussions, and help ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
Qualifications
- Foundational skills in Interior Design and Space Planning, with the ability to translate concepts into layouts and visual presentations.
- Knowledge of Furniture design and selection, along with familiarity with FF&E (fixtures, furnishings, and equipment) coordination.
- Strong Communication skills for collaborating with team members, clients, and vendors, and for presenting design ideas clearly.
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools) and basic graphic presentation tools.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Interior Design or a related field.
- Attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work on-site in Kurla on a full-time schedule.
- Basic understanding of materials, finishes, and construction processes; prior internship or project experience is an advantage.
