Role Description
The Interior Design Intern will support the design team in a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with space planning, preparing mood boards and material palettes, and helping develop design concepts for residential and commercial projects. The intern will contribute to 3D visualization work, basic drawings, and layout plans under the guidance of senior designers. Additional tasks include coordinating with vendors for furniture and finishes, maintaining project documentation, and participating in site visits and client meetings. This role offers hands-on exposure to the full interior design process, from concept development to execution.
Qualifications
- Ability to support Space Planning activities, including layouts and functional flow.
- Foundational Interior Design knowledge and strong design sensibility.
- Interest in Furniture selection and understanding of FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment).
- Effective Communication skills for collaborating with team members, vendors, and clients.
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Interior Design or related field.
- Basic proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) is preferred.
- Attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to work on-site in Mumbai.
- Portfolio or academic project work demonstrating design capabilities is an advantage.
