Role Description The Interior Design Intern role at Pramana Design is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The intern will support the Principal Architects in developing interior concepts, assisting with space planning, and preparing drawings, mood boards, and presentations. Day-to-day tasks include researching materials and finishes, coordinating with vendors for furniture and FF&E selections, and helping document design details and specifications. The intern will participate in client meetings and site visits, assist in maintaining project files and digital archives, and collaborate closely with designers to ensure design intent is clearly communicated and executed. This role offers hands-on exposure to projects rooted in Indian design principles and contemporary practice.
Qualifications
- Ability to support interior design work, including Interior Design and Space Planning skills.
- Interest and basic knowledge in Furniture and FF&E selection and documentation.
- Strong Communication skills, both visual and verbal, to present ideas and collaborate with the team.
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and basic Adobe Creative Suite skills.
- Attention to detail, ability to follow design direction, and willingness to learn from feedback.
- Interest in Indian design and architecture, with a curiosity for research-based and contextual design.
- Ability to work on-site in Mumbai and manage full-time internship responsibilities reliably.
