The Interior Designer Intern will support the execution and coordination of interior projects related to music rooms, studios, and commercial spaces. This role is execution-focused and involves vendor coordination, site visits, and on-ground implementation support to ensure that design intent is accurately translated into finished spaces.
The internship offers strong exposure to real-world commercial interior execution, vendor management, and project coordination.
Tasks & Activities
1. Vendor Coordination & Sourcing
· Coordinate with vendors including carpenters, electricians, acoustic vendors, furniture suppliers, and lighting partners.
· Assist in sourcing materials such as panels, flooring, lighting fixtures, furniture, and acoustic elements.
· Collect, compare, and organize quotations, material specifications, and timelines.
· Follow up with vendors to ensure adherence to schedules and scope.
2. Design Support & Documentation
· Assist in preparing basic layouts, reference designs, and mood boards.
· Support in preparing BOQs, vendor sheets, and approval documentation.
· Update drawings and documents based on site changes and execution feedback.
· Maintain structured documentation and project folders.
3. Site Visits & Execution Support
· Visit project sites regularly as per project requirements.
· Coordinate between design intent and on-site execution.
· Identify and flag execution mismatches related to materials, finishes, or placements.
· Track site progress and assist during handovers and final checks.
4. Internal Coordination & Reporting
· Update internal teams on project status, timelines, and dependencies.
· Maintain simple trackers for vendors, materials, and site progress.
· Support the BD Head with execution-related updates and coordination.
