Role Description: The Interior Designer Specialist role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. In this role, the specialist will design and develop interior concepts, plan functional spaces, and prepare detailed layouts in line with client requirements and brand guidelines. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with architects and contractors, creating and reviewing construction drawings, selecting FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), and ensuring design intent is maintained throughout execution. The specialist will meet with clients to understand their needs, present design proposals, and manage revisions and approvals. The role also involves coordinating project timelines, monitoring site progress, and maintaining documentation to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Interior Design and Space Planning skills to create functional, aesthetic, and client-focused environments.
- Candidates should possess Architecture and Construction Drawings skills to translate concepts into accurate, buildable plans and documentation.
- Candidates should possess FF&E expertise to select appropriate furniture, fixtures, and equipment that align with design, budget, and quality standards.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar tools).
- Strong visualization, presentation, and client communication skills.
- Experience managing interior projects from concept to completion, preferably in commercial or residential sectors.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and coordinate with vendors and contractors on-site.
