POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Assembly Trainer / HR Support Specialist to play a dual role in our organization. This position combines technical training in manufacturing and assembly processes with key Human Resources support functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in assembly techniques, a passion for employee training and development, and the ability to manage a variety of HR-related responsibilities, including employee relations and compliance tasks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assembly Training & Development
- Develop comprehensive assembly training programs and materials, including manuals, guides, and visual aids.
- Conduct assembly training sessions for manufacturing team members, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Conduct continuous retraining and maintain training records for all operators.
- Shadow and evaluate new hires during onboarding to ensure skill progression and competency.
- Assist in certifying all qualified operators.
- Write and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs and work instructions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate training into employee development programs.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to assembly processes.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining reports to monitor employee work tracking and performance data.
Human Resources Support
- Provide employee assistance with ADP logins and benefit inquiries.
- Assist with office supply requests and maintain adequate stock for employee needs.
- Support leadership to facilitate disciplinary actions, documentation, and terminations in alignment with company policy.
- Serve as a point of contact for employees requiring HR support or guidance.
- Participate as an active member of the Safety Team, promoting workplace safety awareness and compliance.
- Assist HR with maintaining confidential records and supporting compliance with company policies and federal/state regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong understanding of assembly techniques, equipment, and safety procedures.
- Previous experience in developing and delivering technical training programs.
- Knowledge of HR documentation and employee relations practices preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proficiency in ADP or similar HRIS/timekeeping systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Certification in manufacturing or HR-related coursework is a plus.
