Core Duties And Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Monitoring: Continuously monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and neurological status (e.g., GCS) for changes in condition.
- Critical Care Interventions: Operate, manage, and troubleshoot life-support equipment, including ventilators, cardiac monitors, and infusion pumps.
- Medication Administration: Calculate, prepare, and administer complex medications and intravenous infusions.
- Collaborative Care: Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with doctors, respiratory therapists, and specialists to implement care plans.
- Documentation: Maintain precise electronic or written records of all patient assessments, treatments, and responses.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to barrier and reverse-barrier nursing protocols to protect immunocompromised patients.
- Family Support: Provide information, support, and education to families in high-stress, end-of-life situations
Required Skills And Qualifications
- Education: BSC MSC PBBSC Nursing with valid Registration
- Experience: Previous experience in a critical care, ICU, or high-dependency unit is usually required (often 1-5 years).
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to handle advanced medical technology and high-end equipment.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, empathy, and high attention to detail
