Why this role existsWe run live research engagements for some of India's biggest consumer brands — Coca-Cola, Britannia, Foxtale — and partner with agencies like WPP. As we grow, every client relationship needs someone who can own it fully: the brief, the delivery, the thinking, and the trust.
We're hiring an Intelligence Operative to be the connective tissue between what clients need and what Consuma delivers. You'll run engagements end-to-end, keep quality high under pressure, and spot the moments where a project can become a partnership.
What you'll actually doClient ownership and delivery
- Own assigned client accounts from brief to final delivery — not just coordinate, actually lead
- Be the point of contact clients trust: proactive, clear, and on top of every moving part
- Communicate findings in ways that connect to business action, not just summarize the data
- Build relationships that create room for expansion — through excellent work, not pitching
Research execution and quality
- Lead day-to-day research planning, analysis, and synthesis across active engagements
- Work with analysts and research teams to ensure methodological rigor and sharp outputs
- Bring structure to ambiguous briefs — turn a messy client ask into a research question worth answering
- Hold deliverables to Consuma's quality standards before anything goes to a client
Who we think this is for2+ years in consumer insights, market research, brand strategy, consulting, or a related field. You're likely coming from:
- A research firm (Nielsen, Kantar, Ipsos, GfK, MRG)
- An agency planning or strategy team
- A brand-side insights role at a major consumer company
- A boutique consulting or intelligence practice
You probably:
- Have run research engagements end-to-end — not just executed a slice of someone else's project
- Can take a vague brief and push back on it intelligently before the work begins
- Are strong analytically and even stronger at synthesis — you know the insight isn't the data, it's what the data means
- Write and present clearly, with a point of view, not just a summary
- Are comfortable being the most senior person in the room on a client call
This role is probably not for you if:
- You need a fully scoped project to get started
- You're more comfortable executing than owning
- You'd rather someone else handle the client relationship while you do the analysis
CompensationWe pay at the competitive end of the Indian insights market and offer meaningful ESOPs appropriate to an early operator role at our stage.
