Job Description
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced
Integration Lead to drive the seamless integration of
Digital Twin platforms with enterprise systems, real-time data sources, and external applications. You will lead the design, development, and execution of robust integration architectures that enable bi-directional data flow between physical assets (via IoT/edge) and digital twin models, ensuring real-time synchronization, reliability, and scalability for large-scale rollouts.
This critical role bridges OT (Operational Technology) and IT systems, working closely with Solution Architects, Configuration Leads, and client stakeholders to deliver high-performance Digital Twin solutions (including platforms like ScaleTwin, ScaleOut Digital Twins, Azure Digital Twins, etc.).
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end integration strategy and implementation for Digital Twin rollouts, ensuring reliable connectivity between digital twins and source systems.
- Design and architect integration patterns for:
- Real-time data ingestion from IoT sensors, edge devices, SCADA, PLCs, and historians
- Bi-directional synchronization with enterprise systems (ERP, MES, PLM, EAM, CMMS)
- Event streaming and complex event processing platforms
- Analytics, and visualization dashboards
- Select, configure, and optimize integration technologies such as REST APIs, ETL tools, iPaaS (MuleSoft, Boomi, Azure Logic Apps), and message brokers.
- Define data mapping, transformation rules, error handling, retry mechanisms, and monitoring for high-volume, low-latency integrations.
- Ensure scalability, security, and compliance (data governance, cybersecurity standards for OT/IT convergence) in all integration layers.
- Lead integration testing (unit, system, end-to-end), performance tuning, and troubleshooting of integration failures during pilot and production rollouts.
- Establish integration governance, reusable connectors, templates, and CI/CD pipelines for integration components.
- Collaborate with Configuration Leads and Solution Architects to align integration design with digital twin model configuration and overall solution architecture.
- Manage integration risks, dependencies, and change requests throughout the rollout lifecycle.
- Conduct workshops with client IT/OT teams, provide technical guidance, and support knowledge transfer and hyper-care post go-live.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in system integration, middleware, or data engineering roles, with at least 4–5 years specifically in IoT, IIoT, or Digital Twin implementations.
- Proven success leading integrations for large-scale Digital Twin, IoT platform, or real-time analytics rollouts in manufacturing, logistics, energy, or asset-intensive industries.
- Strong hands-on expertise in:
- Integration platforms and protocols: Kafka, MQTT, OPC UA, AMQP, REST/SOAP, GraphQL
- Cloud integration services (AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub, Event Grid, Azure Data Factory)
- Enterprise application integration (SAP, Oracle, Siemens, Rockwell, etc.)
- Message queuing, streaming, and API management
- Deep understanding of OT/IT convergence, time-series data handling, and real-time synchronization challenges.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics/Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Preferred Skills & Certifications
- Experience with ScaleTwin / ScaleOut Digital Twin platform or similar high-throughput digital twin solutions.
- Familiarity with industry standards (ISA-95, RAMI 4.0, OPC UA Companion Specifications, Digital Twin Consortium frameworks).
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), DevOps practices, and monitoring tools (Prometheus, ELK Stack, Datadog).
- Strong stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Certifications in:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Integration Specialist
- MuleSoft, Boomi, or Kafka-related certifications
- IIoT or Digital Twin certifications (preferred)
