As a Convergent Mediation Developer in Enterprise Applications Services Team,, your goal is to design, build, and maintain mediation services and data pipelines that reliably process Client’s complex financial and transactional flows across multiple products and platforms. You will ensure accurate transformation, enrichment, and routing of high‑volume transactional data between upstream business systems and downstream fi nance, billing, and reporting solutions, working closely with engineering, fi nance, and product stakeholders across the organisation.
You will be a key part of shaping solutions end‑to‑end: from understanding business rules and data contracts, to designing mediation logic, implementing and testing services, and ensuring they are observable, scalable, and resilient in production. You will work side by side with a cross‑functional team of backend engineers, solution architects, product and business analysts, QA, and fi nance domain experts, and be an active contributor to continuously improving the reliability and performance of our mediation platform.
Our ideal candidate has strong backend and data‑processing skills, understands event‑driven and batch integration patterns, and takes ownership of quality through good design, automated testing, and proactive monitoring. You are comfortable working with complex financial and transactional data, reasoning about edge cases and failure modes, and you care deeply about data integrity and idempotency. Responsible:
Technology, Craft & Delivery
● Translate requirements and mockups into fully functioning features.
● Design and implement end-to-end integration product/ features in collaboration with Product Managers, Architects and other developer and business stakeholders
● Continuously look for ways to improve Client and implement effective mediation capabilities
● Experience in Java, APL, workflows and configurations, Aggregation session, DeDup enhancements
● Work with Kafka, File/FTP, REST APIs, HANA, and AWS database sources.
● Collaborate with multiple teams and build features to improve the Multi Product customer experience
● Drive large-scale performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency improvements across SAP CM integration and related systems, proactively identifying technical gaps and proposing end-to-end solution strategies.
● Build scalable solutions in SAP/ MZ CM with strong observability, logging, tracing, and alerting, using tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki.
● Use data formats such as Avro to process and decode UDRs and create relevant BITs for downstream SAP CI and FICA processes.
● Design and implement unit, integration, and automation tests for CM workflows, integrating them with relevant upstream and downstream systems and CI/CD pipelines.
● Integrate CM workflows with version control systems such as git and GitLab, ensuring robust branching, review, and deployment practices.
Skilled
● 6–15 years of software design and development experience in integration and related technologies, with a strong engineering foundation.
● Advanced knowledge of APL (Application Programming Language), Agents, Analysis, IWF, Aggregation, DeDup, and other key SAP CM components.
● Experience using version control tools such as git and GitLab with CM-based development workflows.
● Knowledge and practical experience in building unit, integration, and automation tests using SAP CM.
● Deep experience working with large data sources and building scalable CM solutions integrating Kafka, REST APIs, File/FTP, and AWS databases.
● Hands-on experience in processing and decoding UDRs and working with data formats like Avro.
● Hands-on experience in SAP HANA (mandatory) and exposure to PostgreSQL, AWS RDS, and SAP BRIM/FICA processes (good to have).
● Experience or exposure to Java (mandatory) and Kafka (good to have) in the context of integration and mediation workflows.
● Working knowledge of Jira, Agile methodologies, and test automation tools is a plus.
● Engineering degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, IT, or a related fi eld.

● 5+ years of experience in a relevant role in a commercial environment
● Experience of working on products that impact a large customer base is an advantage
● Deep, end-to-end design and hands-on expertise in SAP/DigitalRoute Convergent Mediation with proven experience in at least one project designing and building complex, scalable workflows.
● Strong innovation and product mindset, with the ability to think in terms of platform evolution, reusability, and long-term value.
● Excellent stakeholding communication skills, both written and verbal
● Strong stakeholder management
● Strong track record in CM best practices and platform improvements, owning key components from concept to production and ensuring high quality, performance, and reliability.
● Demonstrated ability to work independently, take ownership of critical deliverables, and contribute to strategic platform enhancements.
● Experience driving cross-functional projects, influencing other teams, and maintaining technical alignment across diverse business and IT domains.
● Proven ability to solve complex, ambiguous technical challenges and drive innovative solutions in large-scale integration environments.
● Good to have payment/Fintech industry knowledge
