We’re Hiring – API Architect
Location: Remote
Experience: 10+ Years
Availability: Immediate Joiners Preferred
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead API architecture strategy across public and private APIs
- Design API-first, microservices, and event-driven architectures in cloud/hybrid environments
- Establish best practices for API design, security, versioning, and lifecycle management
- Translate business requirements into API contracts and system architectures
- Collaborate with product owners to shape API roadmaps and priorities
- Provide technical leadership and contribute to API/microservices development
- Build scalable, resilient distributed systems and messaging solutions
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance standards
- Work closely with cross-functional teams in Agile environments
- Act as a technical advisor to stakeholders
⚙️ Core Responsibilities
- Create architecture artifacts (design principles, reference architectures, specs)
- Drive design decisions across application, integration, and infrastructure layers
- Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of API platforms
- Support production systems with troubleshooting and issue resolution
- Promote API governance and reusable service design
✅ Requirements
- Strong experience in API architecture (REST, microservices, API gateways)
- Hands-on with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
- Experience building scalable distributed systems
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture & messaging systems
- Proficiency in Java / Node.js / Python
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of API security (OAuth2, OpenID, etc.)
- Experience working in Agile teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
