Your role
The role is within the Global Financing Services (GFS) – SBL US Middle Office function, supporting Securities Borrowing & Lending activity. The team's primary objective is to provide a robust control layer across SBL trading desks, ensuring front-to-back completeness, accuracy, and control. This role requires strong understanding of equity finance markets, Recalls, Billing, Contract Compare, and end-to-end trade lifecycle.
We’re looking for an Integrated Middle Office Specialist to:
- Provide the link between front office (Trading, Sales, COO) and Operations/Finance teams to manage front-to-back operational risk.
- Demonstrate strong working knowledge of Contract Compare, Trade Support, Billing, Collateral Middle Office lifecycle, Recalls/Returns handling.
- Perform accurate front-to-back reconciliations for SBL products and ensure timely exception resolution.
- Facilitate T0 P&L production and T+1 P&L reconciliation with Finance.
- Ensure trade booking practices adhere to predefined models; maintain static data integrity.
- Investigate and respond to queries from Risk, P&L, Settlements, Confirmations, Legal, and IT.
- Identify, escalate, and resolve operational and risk exceptions.
- Participate in risk review meetings with Operational Risk, COO, and business stakeholders.
- Support regulatory initiatives, client requirements, and process enhancement efforts.

Your team
You’ll be working in the IB-aligned Global Financing Services Integrated Middle Office team. The core mandate is ensuring completeness and accuracy of transactions from front-end risk systems through downstream books and records. As the key link between front office and Operations/Finance, you will also support regulatory, client, and transformational initiatives.
Your expertise
- 2–7+ years of experience in Middle Office, P&L Control, Prime Brokerage, or Equity Financing.
- Understanding of equity risk management and SBL/Equity Finance operational flows.
- Working knowledge of EquiLend, Pirum, GlobalOne, and systems supporting Compare, Recalls, Billing, and Collateral workflows.
- Excellent knowledge of Contract Compare, Recalls, Billing, Trade Support, and Collateral MO lifecycle.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause assessment skills.
- Excellent communication and escalation awareness.
- Ability to collaborate across functions to deliver strategic programs and change.
