Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT) is a leading global manufacturer of custom DNA, RNA, and oligonucleotides for life science research, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical development. We are seeking an IDT Applications Developer Intern to join our team in Coralville, Iowa (Remote). As an IDT Applications Developer Intern, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing software applications that support IDT's internal and external customers. You will work closely with our development team to design, implement, and test new features and functionality, as well as improve existing applications. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design effective software solutions - Develop and maintain web-based applications using modern JavaScript frameworks and tools - Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment - Contribute to the continuous improvement of our applications and development processes - Assist in the resolution of customer support issues and provide technical guidance as needed Required Qualifications: - Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field - Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS - Familiarity with front-end frameworks and libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) - Knowledge of modern software development practices and tools (e.g., Git, CI/CD, testing frameworks) - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills - Excellent communication and collaboration skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with .NET, C#, or other back-end technologies - Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) - Exposure to agile software development methodologies - Interest in life sciences or biotechnology industry This is a remote internship position based in Coralville, Iowa.
