Shift Details & Flexibility
We are looking for a reliable team player to fill a Part-Time role with a varied schedule that helps you maintain a life outside of the kitchen.
- Varied Shifts: Your schedule will include a mix of early morning and afternoon shifts.
- Day Shifts: 5:30 AM – 1:00 PM
- Afternoon Shifts: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Weekend Commitment: Rotating weekends are required.
- The Perk: Our latest shift ends at 7:00 PM—no more working until 2:00 AM!
What You’ll Do
- Craft Quality Meals: Prepare and cook delicious, appealing meals following set menus while ensuring dietary needs (low-sodium, diabetic, mechanical soft) are met.
- Maintain Excellence: Uphold the highest standards of sanitation and organization, following all local and state health codes.
- Manage Resources: Assist with inventory, minimize food waste, and ensure the kitchen runs efficiently.
- Collaborate: Work alongside our Dining Services team to provide a warm, resident-focused dining experience.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience: Proven background as a Cook (high-volume, institutional, or healthcare experience is a plus).
- Technical Skill: Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment, food prep, and safety principles.
- Precision: Ability to follow and scale standardized recipes accurately.
- Character: A positive, compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to serve the senior population.
- Reliability: Punctuality is essential to ensure our residents receive their meals on time.
Mandatory Requirements
To ensure the safety and trust of our residents, all applicants must:
- Pass Screenings: Be willing to undergo a criminal background check and pre-employment drug test.
- Commit to the Schedule: Must be able to work the rotating shifts (5:30 AM starts and 7:00 PM finishes) and the weekend rotation.
- Be Dependable: Reliable transportation and consistent attendance are a must.
