Insurity’s Next Software Engineer II 
Join our global development team as a .NET10 Developer, supporting key insurance data and compliance products. This role involves full ownership of development items from design through implementation, ensuring quality, performance, and maintainability. You’ll work closely with U.S. and India-based teammates to build and enhance solutions.
We’re seeking an experienced professional with hands-on expertise in Angular, .NET 10 and SQL , ASP.NET MVC/MVVM frameworks, and strong development skills, along with critical thinking and a proactive approach. You should be confident working independently, leading initiatives, delivers complex scope development items and capable of reviewing work of other developers without supervision. Experience with modern UI technologies is a plus.
 
 
What Our Senior Software Engineer Will Do
Participate in SDLC estimation and development processes
Design
  • Design solutions to problems/defects with minimal supervision
    After 18 Months:
  • Able to understand and develop use cases to supplement business cases for technical development items
Development
  • Follows Insurity standards for coding, documentation and impact assessments
  • Provides first level of technical troubleshooting and defect remediation for customer, BA and QA reported problems
  • Develop and present solutions for assigned problems and enhancements (basic to moderate complexity)
    After 18 Months:
  • Develop technical documentation for software solutions for targeted audience
  • Develop solutions for simple to moderately complex problems and enhancements individually
  • Estimate projects and solutions of simple to moderate complexity
Test
  • Write code and unit tests according to Insurity standards, following an approved technical solution, for simple enhancements and bug fixes
  • Develop unit tests for code changes and assigned use cases
    After 18 Months:
  • Partner with QA to identify impact and assist with test case development
Documentation
  • Able to comment code
  • Create an impact assessment doc
  • Stay up-to-date on industry and job-related trends and best practices, including reading relevant publications, articles, blogs, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Who We’re Looking For
  • 4-6 years of experience in C# & VB.NET.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (equivalent work experience may be considered)
  • High proficiency with SQL Server best practices, including storage, indexing, and security
  • Proficient in writing complex SQL code (Stored Procedures, Functions, CTEs)
  • Proficient with ASP.NET MVC/MVVM frameworks for scalable application development.
  • Understanding of OOP, design patterns, SOLID principles.
  • Analytical and critical thinking
  • Written and oral English communication
  • Detail-oriented
  • Time management including work planning, prioritization, and organization
  • Work well with others, as well as independently
  • Self-starter and quick learner
  • Able to give and receive feedback in a positive manner
  • Meeting facilitation and management
Within 6-12 months: Change agent
 
Nice to have:
  • Experience with modern UI frameworks
  • Familiarity with leveraging generative AI tools to accelerate development
  • Exposure to insurance domain concepts such as policy, billing, claims, and regulatory compliance (e.g., WCPOLS, WCSTAT)
  • Knowledge of data warehousing, reporting pipelines, and enterprise data governance
