Role Description This is a full-time remote role for an Insurance Specialist, open to freshers who are eager to build a career in the insurance and financial services domain. The Insurance Specialist will support US insurance agencies by handling back-office activities such as policy data entry, verification, and updating records, as well as assisting with endorsements, enrollment processing, and claims-related follow-up. Daily responsibilities include reviewing insurance documents for accuracy, coordinating information with internal teams, and maintaining detailed and timely documentation in relevant systems and portals. The role also involves communicating clearly and professionally via email or messaging tools, resolving basic customer or broker queries with guidance, and adhering to defined workflows, data security standards, and quality benchmarks. Training will be provided, and team members are expected to work aligned with US time zones as required for client collaboration.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess foundational knowledge or interest in Insurance and Insurance Brokerage, with a willingness to learn US P&C and Employee Benefits processes.
- Candidates should possess basic understanding or interest in Finance, including comfort working with numerical data, premiums, and policy-related financial information.
- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills, including clear written communication and the ability to follow structured procedures and guidelines.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills, with a focus on professionalism, responsiveness, and accuracy in handling internal and client-facing requests.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work with repetitive tasks while maintaining quality, and good organizational skills.
- Comfort with MS Office tools and web-based platforms; ability to learn new software and AMS/portal workflows quickly.
- Ability to work full-time in a remote setup, manage time effectively, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across different time zones.
- Minimum educational qualification: bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline; prior insurance or BPO experience is an added advantage but not mandatory for freshers.
