About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting insurance pricing data to support decision making on product pricing, profitability and competitiveness. This role will be a key member of the pricing team, playing a pivotal role in the pricing of IAG's insurance products. Responsibilities: - Analyze and interpret insurance pricing data, including claims, premium and exposure data, to provide insights that support pricing decisions - Identify and recommend pricing strategies and opportunities to improve product profitability and competitiveness - Develop and maintain pricing models and related analytics tools - Collaborate with underwriters, actuaries, and other stakeholders to ensure pricing strategies are aligned with broader business objectives - Contribute to the continuous improvement of pricing practices and capabilities within the organization Requirements: - Tertiary qualification in a numerate discipline such as Actuarial Studies, Economics, Mathematics or Statistics - Demonstrated experience in data analysis, pricing, and/or actuarial work, preferably within the insurance industry - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful insights - Proficiency in using data analysis tools and techniques, such as SQL, Excel, and statistical software - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner - A strong customer focus and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams - Familiarity with insurance pricing concepts and practices, and a good understanding of the insurance industry
