The Role
Leading Sigmoid's Insurance Consulting Practice - bridging high-level strategy and granular operational reality across insurance analytics and AI-led transformation. The role spans strategic accounts, new business development, account growth, and defining analytics use cases across Data Engineering, Data Science, Product Engineering and Consulting.
Responsibilities
- Partner with clients on business challenges, provide strategic guidance and drive thought leadership
- Translate insurance business challenges into analytics and AI/ML-led solutions across claims, underwriting, customer operations, policy servicing, distribution and absence management
- Lead consultants and subject matter experts, managing solutions and transformation programs across accounts and stakeholders
- Partner with sales and business development teams on go-to-market strategy, client identification and new business
- Drive transformation and buy-in across business, operations, claims, actuarial, technology and analytics teams
Requirements
- 10–15 years in analytics consulting, insurance consulting, AI/ML transformation or data-driven business consulting
- Strong insurance domain exposure - disability, life, supplemental benefits or group insurance preferred
- Understanding of insurance operations: sales, enrollment, eligibility, underwriting, policy issuance, premium collection, claims, servicing, renewal
- Understanding of insurance data and process landscapes across customer, policy, claims, billing, agent/broker, operational and third-party data
- Proven experience with senior client stakeholders on strategic, analytics-led initiatives
- Strong understanding of at least one of Data Engineering, Data Science, AI/ML, digital product development or consulting-led transformation
- Bachelor's in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics or related; MBA preferred

- Knowledge of short- and long-term disability, wage replacement models and return-to-work journeys
- Exposure to Life & Supplemental Benefits and Absence & Leave Management
- Experience in delivery oversight, pre-sales, account growth and global team collaboration
- Exposure to claims analytics, customer analytics, risk analytics and data platforms
- Active B1 visa - the role involves extensive US client travel
