Role Description The Insurance Advisor at LIC will work in a full-time hybrid role based in New Delhi, with a combination of office-based and work-from-home responsibilities. Day-to-day tasks include identifying potential clients, explaining life insurance products, and advising individuals and families on suitable coverage based on their financial goals and protection needs. The role involves conducting consultations, preparing insurance proposals, assisting with policy applications, and supporting clients through the onboarding process. The Insurance Advisor will provide ongoing customer service, including policy reviews, updates, and claims support, while maintaining accurate records and adhering to regulatory and organizational guidelines. The role also requires regular collaboration with internal teams, participation in training programs, and meeting sales and service targets in a professional and ethical manner.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge or interest in Insurance and basic understanding of Finance to advise clients on suitable life insurance and financial protection solutions.
- Experience or aptitude in Consulting, including assessing client needs, providing tailored recommendations, and building long-term advisory relationships.
- Proficiency in Customer Service, with the ability to handle inquiries, resolve issues, and provide ongoing support throughout the policy lifecycle.
- Effective Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication, active listening, and the ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, manage time efficiently, and maintain professionalism both in-office and remotely.
- Strong ethical standards, integrity, and commitment to regulatory compliance and customer trust.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort with digital tools for documentation, online meetings, and client communication.
- Prior experience in insurance, banking, or financial services is an advantage; a bachelor’s degree in any discipline is preferred but not mandatory.
