Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Automation & Instrumentation Engineer role based in Bengaluru. The Instrumentation Engineer will oversee installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems across pharmaceutical manufacturing and utility areas. Responsibilities include monitoring process parameters, ensuring accurate measurement and control, performing routine calibration, and troubleshooting instrumentation and electrical issues to minimize downtime. The role involves preparing and updating documentation for instruments and control systems, coordinating with production, maintenance, and quality teams, and supporting compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The Instrumentation Engineer will also participate in continuous improvement projects, assist in equipment upgrades, and help implement best practices in process control and automation.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Instrumentation and Process Control for manufacturing environments.
- Candidates should possess Electrical Engineering and Troubleshooting skills for equipment and control systems.
- Candidates should possess Calibration skills for a range of instruments and sensors.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, chemical, or process industry environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of automation systems, PLCs, SCADA, and related control technologies is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Strong adherence to safety practices, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
- Effective communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
