Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review instrumentation design documents (P&IDs, instrument index, datasheets, hook-up drawings).
- Ensure compliance with international standards (ISA, IEC, API) and project specifications.
- Select appropriate instruments for process measurement (flow, pressure, temperature, level, etc.) considering harsh LNG/Oil & Gas environments.
- Provide support in loop checks, calibration, and functional testing of instruments.
- Support commissioning and start-up activities, ensuring system integrity and reliability.
- Provide support in diagnosis and resolving issues in control systems, transmitters, valves, and analysers.
- Optimize instrument performance to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
- Ensure instrumentation systems meet safety integrity levels (SIL) and hazardous area classifications (ATEX, IECEx).
- Implement safety instrumented systems (SIS) and emergency shutdown systems (ESD).
- Ensure adherence to HSE standards during design, installation, and maintenance.
- Work with DCS, PLC, SCADA systems for process control and monitoring.
- Configure and maintain control logic, alarms, and interlocks.
- Support integration of instrumentation with plant automation systems.
- Prepare technical reports, calibration records, and maintenance logs.
- Update as-built drawings and ensure proper documentation for audits.
- Participate in technical reviews and provide input for continuous improvement.
- Provide technical support during procurement and installation phases.
- Strong collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Identify opportunities for instrumentation upgrades and digitalization.
- Implement predictive maintenance strategies using smart sensors and analytics.

Work Experience
B. Tech 5-10 Years
The Instrumentation Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining instrumentation and control systems for Oil & Gas / LNG facilities/Complex chemical facilities. This role ensures accurate process measurement, reliable control, and compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in engineering design, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of instrumentation systems in complex industrial environments.
