Job Description (JD) For Instrumentation Engineer
Skilled and detail-oriented Instrumentation Engineer with experience in the pharmaceutical industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, installation, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrumentation systems used in pharmaceutical manufacturing and laboratory environments, ensuring compliance with GMP and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain instrumentation systems for process control and automation in pharma manufacturing.
- Ensure proper calibration and validation of instruments such as pressure gauges, temperature sensors, flow meters, pH meters, and analytical instruments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality assurance, and maintenance to support smooth operations.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for instrument calibration, preventive maintenance, and compliance audits.
- Troubleshoot HVAC system and resolve instrumentation issues to minimize downtime and ensure product quality.’
- Knowledge of BMS & EMS system and related CSV documentation and protocol & it’s report execution.
- Support in Projects & installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, QMS documents, and other regulatory standards USFDA.
- Participate in risk assessments, change controls, and deviation investigations related to instrumentation.
- Train and guide technicians on instrumentation best practices and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
- 5-6 years of experience in instrumentation within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, validation protocols, and regulatory compliance.
- Hands-on experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, and automation technologies.
- Familiarity with cleanroom environments and sterile manufacturing processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with BMS, EMS, AHUs System, PLC, SCADA and instruments like pressure gauges, temperature gauges, Temperature sensor, controller, Flowmeters, Temperature transmitter, DPT, DPS.
- Knowledge of HVAC instrumentation and environmental monitoring systems.
- Certification in instrumentation or automation systems is a plus.
