Job Description
We are looking for an Instrumentation & Control Engineer to support the design, implementation, and commissioning of control systems for industrial/process applications. The role involves working closely with process, electrical, and operations teams to ensure reliable and compliant automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, selection, and specification of field instrumentation (flow, level, pressure, temperature, analyzers, etc.)
- Develop, review, and maintain P&IDs, instrument index, I/O lists, and loop diagrams
- Configure and program PLC-based control systems (e.g., Siemens, Schneider, Rockwell, Delta)
- Implement control logic including PID loops, interlocks, alarms, and sequences
- Integrate PLC systems with SCADA/HMI
- Support testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and site acceptance
- Ensure documentation reflects as-built conditions
- Coordinate with vendors, panel fabricators, and site teams
Desired / Additional Responsibilities (Good to Have)
Design and review electrical control panels, including:
- Panel layouts and GA drawings
- Power and control wiring diagrams
- Selection of MCCBs, MCBs, contactors, relays, VFDs, power supplies
- Review panel fabrication and support factory acceptance testing (FAT)
- Ensure compliance with relevant electrical and safety standards
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Control Engineering
- Hands-on experience with process control and industrial automation
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP – desirable)
Skills and Competencies
- Strong understanding of process instrumentation and control philosophy
- PLC programming and debugging skills
- Ability to read and develop P&IDs and control documentation
- Exposure to SCADA/HMI systems
- Good coordination and communication skills
- Willingness to support site work and commissioning as required
