Company Description Airysole is a leading manufacturer of lightweight PU (Polyurethane) soles, including outsoles, midsoles, insoles, footbeds, cork footbeds, and gel heel pads. The company specializes in producing PU soles in any design and color, even highly complex patterns, for a wide range of footwear brands. With five production lines across two units covering 63,000 square feet, Airysole produces approximately 4.5 million pairs of PU soles annually using advanced Italian technology. This technology helps deliver reliable, high-quality soles that support and enhance many prominent footwear brands in India and internationally. Airysole has developed over 600 sole designs for global brands such as Red Chief, Bata India, Woodland, Hush Puppies, Red Tape, Lee Cooper, and many others.
Role Description The Instrumentation and Control Engineer is a full-time, on-site position based in kanpur. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining control and instrumentation systems across PU sole production lines to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring process parameters, troubleshooting system issues, calibrating instruments, and optimizing control strategies to improve productivity and quality. The engineer will collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to integrate new equipment, support preventive maintenance plans, and ensure compliance with safety and industry standards. The role also involves documenting control logic, maintaining technical drawings and manuals, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in automation and process control.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Control Engineering and Process Control, with practical experience applying these skills in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proficiency in Electrical Engineering and Control Systems Design, including wiring, panels, PLCs, and related automation hardware.
- Hands-on expertise in Instrumentation, such as selection, installation, calibration, and maintenance of sensors, transmitters, and control devices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or related engineering discipline.
- Experience with PLCs, SCADA/DCS systems, and industrial communication protocols is highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations applicable to industrial automation and electrical systems.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on-site with cross-functional teams.
- Prior experience in footwear, polymers, or process manufacturing environments is an advantage.
