Position: Instrument Engineer
Experience Required: 4–6 years
Qualification: B.E. in Electronics / Instrumentation
Key Responsibilities:
-Pyro Field Instrumentation: Operate and maintain pyrometers, radiation pyrometers, thermocouples (Type S/R/B), kiln shell scanners, thermal imaging systems, nose ring cooling, and thrust device monitoring equipment.
-Gas Analyzers & Safety Systems: Manage gas analyzers (CO, NO, O₂, SO₂), emission monitoring devices, CEMS (Continuous Emission Monitoring System), sampling systems, and kiln inlet probes.
-Control Systems & Automation: Configure and maintain PLC, DCS, SCADA systems; perform PID tuning; support kiln automation; and work with expert systems (Linkman, Paxis, Fuzzy Logic).
-Actuators & Drives: Oversee kiln main drives, variable frequency drives (VFDs), hydraulic thrusters, damper actuators, and pneumatic positioners.
-Conduct preventive, shutdown, and breakdown maintenance activities to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.
-Troubleshoot, calibrate, and commission field instruments and automation systems.
-Collaborate with operations and safety teams to ensure compliance with plant protocols and emission standards.
Required Skills & Competencies:
-Strong expertise in Pyro Section instrumentation within cement plants.
-Hands‑on experience with gas analyzers, emission monitoring systems, and kiln automation.
-Proficiency in PLC/DCS/SCADA systems, PID tuning, and expert system integration.
-Knowledge of VFDs, actuators, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
-Ability to interpret technical diagrams and execute commissioning activities independently.
-Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and team collaboration skills.
