Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Instructor role at GIA India, based in Mumbai. The Instructor will be responsible for delivering engaging and informative gemological and jewelry design courses to students. Key responsibilities include conducting classroom and hands-on practical sessions, preparing teaching materials, assessing the performance of students, and providing guidance to support their development. The role also involves staying updated on the latest industry trends and advancements, ensuring an exceptional learning environment for the students.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and expertise in gemology, diamonds, colored stones, pearls, and jewelry design
- Effective communication and public speaking skills for delivering engaging educational content
- Experience in curriculum development, course planning, and teaching methodologies
- Attention to detail and the ability to assess and evaluate student work accurately
- Proficiency in crafting educational materials and staying updated on industry trends
- A passion for teaching and mentoring students
- Relevant education or certification in gemology or jewelry design is required
- Previous experience in the gem and jewelry industry or education sector is advantageous
