The Instructional Designer plays a critical role in enabling workforce capability within the GCC by designing and developing engaging learning solutions aligned with technology transformation goals. This is a highly visual role that bridges traditional instructional design with multimedia creation. The workload is structured strategically: 50% focuses on designing and refining high-impact presentation decks, while the remaining 50% is dedicated to video production, digital asset creation, and standard instructional design tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Deck & Presentation Design (50%): Conceptualize, format, and deliver highly engaging, visually clean instructional and corporate capability slide decks.
Digital Asset & Video Production: Drive the end-to-end creation of video content and digital learning assets using modern design software.
Core Instructional Design: Apply instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM) to create effective digital and blended learning experiences.
Multimedia Integration: Integrate multimedia elements and interactive components leveraging tools like Canva, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite.
SME Collaboration: Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
Evaluation: Evaluate learning effectiveness through assessments and feedback mechanisms.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with accessibility standards and GCC-specific guidelines.
* Visual Design & Multimedia Tools: Working knowledge of design software including Canva and Figma, alongside proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (specifically focusing on video editing and production tools).
* Presentation Design: Advanced capability to translate complex technical information into professional, scannable, and instructional slide decks.
* Instructional Design Expertise: Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and design methodologies.
* Content Development: Ability to create engaging and interactive learning materials.
* Project Management: Skilled in managing multiple learning projects and timelines.
* Communication Skills: Ability to convey complex concepts clearly and effectively.
* Attention to Detail: High accuracy in content creation and quality assurance.
Preferred Technical Competencies:
* E-Learning Tools: Proficiency in Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, or similar platforms.
* Learning Management Systems (LMS): Experience with platforms like Moodle, Cornerstone, or SuccessFactors.
* SCORM/xAPI Standards: Understanding of e-learning standards for content interoperability.
* Data Analytics: Ability to analyze learner data and generate insights for continuous improvement.
* Basic HTML/CSS: For customizing e-learning templates and troubleshooting content issues.
Requirements:
1. Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education Technology, or related field.
2. Experience: 3–5 years of experience in instructional design and content development.
3. Demonstrated portfolio highlighting presentation design, video editing, and digital asset creation.
4. Certifications in e-learning tools or instructional design methodologies preferred.
5. Experience working in GCCs or global organizations is an advantage.
