Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Installation Engineer role based in Ahmedabad. The Installation Engineer will install, configure, and test smart home and IoT devices, including controllers, sensors, lighting systems, security solutions, and related equipment at client locations. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting technical drawings, ensuring proper electrical wiring and connectivity, troubleshooting installation issues, and performing routine maintenance and inspections. The role involves coordinating with project managers and clients, documenting installation activities, providing basic user training on system operation, and ensuring adherence to safety standards and company guidelines. The Installation Engineer will also support upgrades, replacements, and system expansions as required.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Equipment Installation and Maintenance to handle smart home and IoT systems effectively.
- Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Electrical Engineering and Electrical Wiring to ensure safe and compliant installations.
- Candidates should possess understanding of Mechanical Engineering principles to work with hardware components and mounting structures.
- Relevant technical diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronics, or related engineering field.
- Experience with smart home automation, security systems, or IoT devices is highly beneficial.
- Ability to read schematics and technical documents, and follow safety protocols and industry standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently at customer sites.
- Good communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams; willingness to travel locally as needed.
