Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Installation Engineer role based in Chennai. The Installation Engineer will install, configure, and commission weighing equipment and related systems at customer locations, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and safety standards. Daily responsibilities include performing electrical and mechanical setup, testing and calibration of equipment, diagnosing installation issues, and coordinating with internal teams for smooth handover to support and maintenance. The role involves documenting installation activities, training end users on proper operation, and providing feedback to engineering and production teams for continuous improvement. The position requires frequent interaction with customers on-site, adherence to project timelines, and readiness to travel to various client facilities as needed.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Equipment Installation and commissioning of industrial systems.
- Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Electrical Engineering and practical Electrical Wiring skills.
- Candidates should possess capabilities in Mechanical Engineering related to industrial equipment and assemblies.
- Candidates should possess experience in Maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and preventive servicing of equipment.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and adherence to safety practices.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently and in coordination with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites and work in industrial environments.
